For the fourth week of Lent, please join hands with us as we pray for Lamis.
Here’s her story in her own words:

I am Lamis Ghazoul, blind since birth. All my life I suffered from not seeing what everyone else could. It was hard to accept this fact, but I tried to hang in patiently through all of the difficulties by studying and succeeding. Then the war started in Syria, and it was very dangerous to go from my village to school and later from my village to college in the neighboring city. All that increased my challenges and hardships in life. But my faith in God, plus the help of my mother who left everything to be my eyes, all made me able to continue my education. Now I am in my third year of French Literature.
Please, I ask you to pray for my strength and my hope to see one day!
As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him.” – John 9:1-3
